It has been far too long since Geocachers have had a "Let's Go For A Hike" Event - a series of events started by famed Colorado Geocaching family Memfis Mafia. Let's remedy that! The event will take place at the POSTED COORDINATES from 11:00AM to 11:45AM on Saturday August 11th. Get there however you can, and plan adequate travel time!

Let's go! Another LGFAH Event

For those whom aren't familiar with the LGFAH geocaching events, this will be a Meet and Greet style event. We will swap geocaching stories, trade and discover trackables, and just get to know one another.

There is a twist: This event isn't in some comfy coffee shop or a busy restaurant. The event is at a small bridge at 8,547 feet!

There is 1 popular way to get to this event - and it is hiking from an established trailhead (parking coordinates listed on this cache page).  This route is a pretty mild and family-friendly hike, approximately 3 to 3.5 Miles out-and-back.  Extra points to anyone who takes another route!

Hiking in the Rain

Don't forget! You are outside in Colorado. Be prepared for whatever mother nature might throw at us! I will try to make announcements closer to the event date regarding predicted condtitions, however you should always be prepared for anything.

See you at the bridges, and don't forget to bring water!

Thanks for hosting another Let's go for a hike event. I was running late due to parking problems but made it to the event location with plenty of time. I have hiked this trail before, but wow was it busy this time.

Thanks for setting this up - had a nice walk up the trail with a small detour, and enjoyed visiting with everyone!

Look at that! We made it to our own event again! We've got an excellent track record of that

Well, we did depart the trailhead a little late - parking was a nightmare this morning! But we still made it to the event coordinates before the listed start time, and we were able to enjoy some comraderey and sandwiches. I would definitely put that down as a win!

Thanks to everyone that showed up, and I hope these events continue to take off and we see more LGFAH opportunities arise!

Bunkies and I were heading up the 7 bridges trail and hiked a ways past this location and then came back here for this event. It's always fun meeting up with a bunch of cachers. Thanks for organizing this one!
