Fellow Cachers, are you tired of anxiously hunting for Geocaches with all those pesky Muggles around, constantly staring and wondering what that crazy person is looking for? Do you long to just wander around off trail in the forest quietly looking under rocks and shaking pinecones in peace? Yeah me too...... Well step right up!! We placed this series of caches next door to the Shorty's Short Jaunt series. I wanted to explore this swath of YOUR National Forest a little bit more, and give people a chance to rack up a potential of 17 finds between the two series,(Congrats to Putty for finding all in one day!!). These caches were laid out in a loop, the best advice if trying to tackle all in one trip (Which is around 4 hours and 3.5 miles) is start on the caches to the southwest and head up, with the culmination of summiting the mighty BIG JILM!! From there come back down and grab all the caches back to this one, and use this cache as a waypoint to finish. Some of these caches should be available year round, snow shoes, or micro spikes are recommended. The new series is devoted to my favorite band from New Hope PA. WEEN! If you have an ear for music and enjoy psychedelic/alternative rock, with hints of Brown, give them a listen, although nothing beats a live WEEN show! This series will celebrate Gene and Dean Ween, and the discography of WEEN, each cache named in this series is a favorite song from various albums. Remember Boognish loves you!
Feel free to throw a favorite our way if you enjoy exploring in peace! Also, GPS is very bouncy up here, so be patient and expand you GZ a little and rely on the hints, none of the hides are very tough. The first stop in the Ween series, "She Wanted to Leave" appeared on the classic 1997 nautical themed album, The Mollusk. Another song off the album "OCEAN MAN" was featured in the SpongeBob movie, and SpongeBob's creator Steven Hillenburg R.I.P., was a huge fan of WEEN who credits this album with SpongeBob's creation! Every time I hear the song live in concert, it brings a tear to my eye...Camo pill contaier just waiting to be found! BYOP Happy Hunting
