Great view in every direction. You betcha. To approach I recommend using 140th from Colorado Blvd. (avoids all the speed bumps)
Come to The Top of The Town and see the magnificent view looking in all four directions for miles and miles. You probably didn't realize such a place exists in the busy town of Thornton. I will even share MY mountain view.

I encourage you to go to the top for the best view. The extra 8-10 feet of elevation makes a big difference.

If anyone can figure out what those things that look like coffins are really for, please let me know.

I have noticed that this area is very busy at night being "Lovers Lane". I wonder why? AHH the good old days.

Since you are in the area you might want to go to Top of the Town #2. Just a short walk.

Ha! Fairly quick find this time, when I ignore the map and just go with Geo senses. I ignored the harder spots and looked for the quick find, which paid off! My GPS had me about 20 feet south of the coordinates, if that helps anyone else. TFTC and for bringing me back out to this beautiful little spot! I’ve driven by 1000 times on the way to drop off or pick up my kids from school, but never knew this was here.

Rats. Hunted for a good long time, but my bouncing GPS was of no help and kept trying to put me inside the fenced off area. Looked around everywhere I could even with the hint, but no luck today.Maybe come back a different day.

I am waiting for the library to open this afternoon so I'm taking advantage of this gorgeous morning to cache the area. I've recently moved back here from 10 years of overcast, grey Lansing, Michigan and I feel giddy being at the top of the hill seeing the mountains again. Thank you for placing a cache here for us to enjoy this incredible view. TFTC. All is well with this cache. Happy caching!

Found this on the way home from picking my grand children up after school. Capt America suggested I check for caches near this park where we stopped to play before going home. Sure enough there WAS a cache. Gymnast joined us in the search and followed the compass arrow; Capt America's geo-senses kicked in fairly quickly and he had the cache in hand immediately. Thanks for the Smiley.

My little one loves this playground and me come by often. I've forgotten my phone the last few times, but I had it and my mom to watch the little one. Snuck over here and made the find, I was surprised at how many leaves have blown off the nearby "tree". Everything was in good shape - thanks for the cache! #1600

Thanks, BaldEagleMan! There is a lot to see from up here. My daughter and her sons are on vacation, so I get to take care of her dog, making a visit in the early morning, noon, and evening in far north Arvada. I had some time this morning to visit Thornton between visit. This is a part of the pocket query of the caches I have not found yet close to home.

I went for a little 36 mile bike ride today to get some exercise and find some caches including this one at 10:08 AM. It was a beautiful day to be out riding and caching. I enjoyed all the caches I found. Thanks for the cache and for making my route more fun!
