Everyone will be hiking the 1/2+ mile up up up to this cache now. Pretty sure they closed this road many years ago as the lodgepole fence closing it is already breaking apart & there is vegetation growing in the road. That was a steep climb. My dog kept wondering what was taking me so long. The cabin & little pond were really cute, 2 rooms! and the view was awesome. I found the cache on the ground & tried to clip it onto a branch it would fit on. Hope it stays. Picked up the TB that had been up there for a year then trekked across to the new cache at Black Powder Pass & was FTF. It was one mile away.

Well worth the drive and then the hike up to the cabin. Amazing views.

Spending the day on Boreas Pass Road, find #3. GPSr indicated .38 to the cache, decided to go straight for it. Quite the climb for us that are out of shape! Views were awesome, cabin was cool, but didn't have the time to poke around as much as we wanted since it started sprinkling on us. Another one that I was disappointed the road was now closed. Left the TB.

Keep on Trekking found this cache in July and it hadn't been found since. They decided to go up the steep hill again with us just so we could find it. Steep, rocky hill but so well worth the hike. The views were fantastic. Used the hint and found the cache. Had lunch while enjoying the views. Traded out TB's. TFTC

We lucked out and found a "road" (closed to motorized vehicles) that took us to the old cabin. But, it was a very steep climb for 0.8 of a mile. The views were worth the effort, though. Found the cache quickly. Regrettably the trackable listed in the inventory is not in the cache.
TN L: a Leprechaun trackable. SL Then enjoyed the awesome view while having our lunch near the cabin on this beautiful sunny day. Awarding a favorite point for taking us to this great location.
