Clear path to the cache and paved nearly all the way - easy to get to, harder to find.
Easy walk along asphalt trails up until the last 10th of a mile. Then it's time to follow a dirt trail. Beautiful glade nestled amongst the greenery of several old trees hides the actual cache location. During the wettest months the nearby area shifts into a wetlands but during the dry months one can often observe the cracking mud where ponds once were. The only real challenge should be finding the cache once you get there.

19 Feb 2019

This has been on my target hit list for some time now as it was placed the day we started caching 07 Aug 2007. In AZ there is a cache GC3ACZX that you need to find a cache that was placed on the same day that you registered on geocaching.com. There are only a handful of active caches within the US that have this date. With RD living in Colorado Springs figure there was a good chance it would stick around for us to claim a smiley. Thanks for the hide,

Going back through the logs, I see there was a replacement dropped a couple years ago. Maybe it is smaller than what I was looking for and further from GZ. Anyway, enjoyed the walk even without the find.

Was out caching in this area with Krenz Krew today. I have a find on this cache from 2004 because I (super -n00b) was with UPSgirl when she found it. Couldn't find it this time, but did find the poison ivy. TG I was wearing jeans that kept the bad stuff at bay.

Still a good hide. Container not as big but still room for TBs and swag.
