The Long Distance Caching Challenge!

This challenge requires you to find at least one cache 1000 miles (or 1609.4km) away or more from your home coordinates. I love to travel and go geocaching when I'm out visiting a new state or country and this challenge is for people that also enjoy caching far from home!

The cache IS at the posted coordinates. To find this cache, set off from the Mount Falcon West Trailhead parking lot and take the Castle Trail. At the fork, continue straight along the Meadow Trail towards the Eagle’s Eye Shelter, which will turn into the Tower Trail. I recommend stopping by the Shelter for the view here, it’s quite beautiful. The cache will be further along the Tower trail past the Shelter, about 60ft from the path.

You may find this challenge cache and sign the logbook at anytime, but if you sign at the time you are unqualified, you may mark your online log with a "Write Note" and then claim "Found" after you have met the qualifications.

You may use the Project GC link provided below to check if you qualify.

FTF @ 2:08 PM!!!

My furthest find is a little over 1900 miles in the great state of Maine. Evidence posted in the attached image. Today is my last official day of summer break. I always look to get a good hike in on this day every year and Mt. Falcon was the choice today mainly because of this new hide. Thanks for the new challenge.
