So the second leg of my 36 hour driving time delivery from Brookshire, TX to Everett, WA started in Wichita Falls, TX. I was still on that natural high from getting 14 counties in TX including TEXAS’ OLDEST CACHE TOMBSTONE! I woke up and started looking at the day ahead. The day before I had a delay of 3 hours while I got loaded. But today was a pure 11 hours to drive so I wanted to make sure I was making the most of it.


     I was going to be pulling over in some awkward places for theses caches.  I first pulled over and got a cache just outside of Iowa Park.  And then Oklaunion, Chillicothe, Childress, Memphis (TX not TN), Clarendon, and Goodnight. I managed to see on the map that the county line near Amarillo ran just south of Interstate 40, so I had decided that I would jump off the freeway and travel south to catch that county and bounce back up and get the northern county.  Two birds (or caches) in 2 miles lol. I then proceeded to get a cache outside of Masterson, Dumas, and Stratford.

I then was blessed with being able to drive into the western corner of the great state of Oklahoma. and of yes, I sang 2 bars of the musical with the namesake as I was driving to my first of two caches. The first one being south of Boise city, and the second being north of Boise city.


     I then drove into the great state of Colorado.  Where I picked up 9 caches including a milestone cache.  That’s right fellow cachers.  I hit 800 caches on this leg of my journey.

A very nice surprise. Such a lovely spot. Ducks...not sure what kind, were enjoying the sunny day. They flew away as we approached. Got a pretty good pic though. A wonderful bird habitat. Awesome HD property. Gets a favorite. Took cache with mangled logs away. Funny thing...those were dry logs, the cache we left has a wet log. Anywho... thanks for the fun. SL

There are two containers here. I signed the lady big with the bison tube sticking out. The other has a mangled mess of paper inside. Regardless, TFTC
