Had my eye on 3 caches around Castle Rock so decided today was a good day to take a drive. This was the second. Came back when the snow was gone to avenge a DNF from earlier. No snow definitely helps in making the find. Thanks for the cache.

Found about 50 feet from gz in the open field. Closer to gz looks like kids decided to make a jungle gym out of the trees. Lots of broken branches on the ground and string intertwined in the limbs. Placed about 24 feet from gz in best place matching hint. Tftc!

Needed this D/T but today with snow on the ground wasn’t able to make the find. I’ll try again once the snow melts.

So glad to find this highly rated cache without actually having to risk life & limb climbing those pesky trees. It’s all in the name.

To be honest, I had Castle Rock Med Park in mind for an easy cache today after having another day of feeling under the weather. But as we arrived, I figured that we'd have about 10 minutes left of light and that it would be a shame to waste another park and grab cache so quickly. So I made the short drive over here and soon we were searching.
Well 15 minutes here of wandering around and it wasn't looking so good. Looking at the coordinates, I thought that I knew where the host would be but after extensively searching, I see that was barking up the wrong tree if you will.
Expanded slightly with hopes of something that would better match the previous logs and spotted something that could work. After feeling around a decent amount, I finally spotted something out of the ordinary! Atomic Corgi was surprised seeing as how he had just searched that area with no luck.
Glad to walk away from this one with a find. A little caching might have just been what the doctor ordered because I felt a little better walking away from this one, believe it or not haha.

Got lucky with a pretty quick find with animjason. This one can definitely be tough.
Thanks TheEpicOne202! Logged cacti friends from a ninth galaxy using c:geo!

Found this prickly one with BearAdair. This one could be very evil when placed back correctly. Made sure it was all hidden well.

Ahhhhh, the great feeling of a geo-run…..and so many things accomplished! We grabbed an FTF. We signed logs for long since solved puzzles. We earned a souvenir. We got to feel the temperature drop about 30 degrees in less than 30 minutes (that part wasn’t as fun). We were stared down by law enforcement. And we got to laugh and joke about it all. TFTC
