The Fish Creek Trail is a multi-use trail that has been built/rebuilt following the floods of 2013. Horses, hikers, strollers, dogwalkers and bicyclists can all use the trail, although since it is gravel and has a 4-5% grade in places it may be problematic for road bikes and weaker bikers (such as children and the CO, who can’t quite make it up the hill on gravel). From the listed coordinates, you can follow the trail via branches all the way to downtown Estes Park or Lake Estes, roughly 4-5 miles away.
Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail, and there is limited parking along Fish Creek Road. The listed coordinates are for a safe parking area at one end of the trail. Depending on where your solution sends you, you can park there or on a side street and walk to the cache. Do not park on the trail proper or in Fish Creek Road!
The cache is not at the listed coordinates. It is a small camouflaged container with room for a little swag or trackables, and a travel bug dog tag as prize for FTF. You do NOT need to cross the wooden fence line to retrieve the cache; please stay out of the adjoining ranch’s pasture and do not feed their horses.
Solve the following puzzle to get the final coordinates:
N40 Fox, Turkey . Kingfisher, Aspen, Hawk
W105 Sheep, Frog . Antelope, Tundra, Columbine
