The Fish Creek Trail is a multi-use trail that has been built/rebuilt following the floods of 2013. Horses, hikers, strollers, dogwalkers and bicyclists can all use the trail, although since it is gravel and has a 4-5% grade in places it may be problematic for road bikes and weaker bikers (such as children and the CO, who can’t quite make it up the hill on gravel).  From the listed coordinates, you can follow the trail via branches all the way to downtown Estes Park or Lake Estes, roughly 4-5 miles away.

Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail, and there is limited parking along Fish Creek Road. The listed coordinates are for a safe parking area at one end of the trail.  Depending on where your solution sends you, you can park there or on a side street and walk to the cache.  Do not park on the trail proper or in Fish Creek Road!

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.  It is a small camouflaged container with room for a little swag or trackables, and a travel bug dog tag as prize for FTF.  You do NOT need to cross the wooden fence line to retrieve the cache; please stay out of the adjoining ranch’s pasture and do not feed their horses.

Solve the following puzzle to get the final coordinates:

N40 Fox, Turkey . Kingfisher, Aspen, Hawk

W105 Sheep, Frog . Antelope, Tundra, Columbine

Another hint added. Need more finds!

After coming from Illinois for our annual trip to Estes to see the elk and the aspen, I saw this cache had not yet been found. Worked on the puzzle on and off for a couple days with a friend and finally figured it out. Pretty cool to come from Illinois for a FTF. Giving this a favorite point for the interesting and challenging puzzle. TFTC!

I turned on the solution checker and upgraded the hints. Apparently this is harder than I thought it was (it's modeled on a cache in Sydney that I solved some time ago, but that one may have had a few more clues in its structure). I'd like someone to finally find it, although I'd like the FTF to have figured it out and not just powered through the solution checker.

Hi all, I was visiting and finding Craggs View , which is by non Coordinates of Fish Creek Trail Puzzle cache. I mistakenly marked the Fish Creek Trail cache as a find. A big Blooper, Glad the CO found my mistake. To the future cachers. Good luck in finding this cache. with all the DNF it is worthy of a smiley to the finder.

I have deleted a "found it" log that I found suspicious. I checked the cache, and indeed, there are no signatures or stamps on the log. The FTF is still very much available!

Two weeks with no finds, so I'm upping the difficulty a half star and adding a simple hint. I'll keep an eye on it of course, and add more hints when/if necessary.
