This is my first time setting caches out without the watchful eyes of my cousin-cacher. We don't have much out here in the desert, but, I"m trying to make your trip through town a bit more interesting! Enjoy!

I just decided to place a few caches around here to learn how to do it right and to add some numbers to everyone's counts. There will be 10 on this road and all are Roman Numerals I through X. These should be fairly easy to park and grab. Watch for things that poke, stick, and bite...especially in the warmer months.

Needs Maintenance 05/19/2019 By arw7/14
Can still find the original container at coordinates, but can't access log without destroying it. Needs to be replaced when possible. If the owner is available to change it out, that's excellent; but we often maintain them as a team effort out here. I'll check on it this summer when we're out and about with replacements.

We found the long camo tube near the base of the tree, but it needs maintenance. The cap couldn't be removed so no log retrieved. Took a picture of the find, tucked it away carefully and continued on our adventure. TFTC

I flew up to Denver to drive my son's car back from Boulder to Dallas while he spends a semester abroad in Europe. He has such a difficult life! After picking up the car I headed up the mountains for a day of skiing before making the drive. I ended up meeting up with some old friends at Beaver Creek and had a great day skiing Friday. After finishing our day of skiing I made a slight change of plans and decided to drive through the mountains to Pueblo instead of driving back to Denver and then I25 - it probably added some time to my drive - but, also gave me an opportunity to grab a few unplanned CO counties. I got up early Saturday morning and made the drive from Pueblo, CO to Elk City, OK. grabbing caches along the way over 14 hours. On Sunday, I got up once again before the sun made a cool hike up to the top of King mountain then finished the drive back home. I love these car return trips - I think this is #3 between CO and Dallas. It gives me a great opportunity to run my county cache count up and enjoy some great exploration.

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide HarvestMoon2, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!
