Biked here from Austin, Texas and are headed to Anchorage, Alaska as a part of a nonprofit organization called Texas 4000. We fundraise money for cancer research and support services and then cycle over 4500 miles to Alaska.

We decided to stop for a cache here and check out the views.

Nice hide

Went the dirt road to a good place to hike from. Had to backtrack and cross a stream. Probably would have been easier from the highway. Nice cubby hole for the container. TFTC.

Nice hide! Approached from 296 and didn't find the actual trail until just before finding the cache, haha. Tree looks like it was made to hold the cache; I thought that and the mini-amphitheatre nearby were pretty cool.

We found this without much trouble. Apart from the mosquitoes, it was a pleasant hike in. TFTC!

We got the smiley, after taking the dirt/4WD road about half of a mile west of GZ. Drove that as far as we could in our Jeep to a small campground where there was a firepit, and then hiked it from there. Despite the rain starting to fall, Dad and all 3 Kidz made it to GZ and got the Smile SL, traded some swag, and dropped off a trackable. We were in a bit of a rush due to the incoming rain and may have missed spotting the listed GeoWood trackable, but having taken a quick look through the container, we did not see it. Also traded a bit of swag, and were on our way. TFTC !

Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska!! Here in Colorful Colorado for some summer college baseball and caching!! This cache gets a favorite - we love caches off the road a bit, on a nice trail! Exchanged TB's and left some Alaska swag. The lid on this cache is cracked, and I'd imagine the contents could get really wet. Thanks for a nice cache here in the woods!
