I hiked to this one from the west, and was happy to travel on a path I hadn’t seen on my previous trips to the area. My dog and I got to experience a cool collapsed cabin on the way. The beautiful views and fun adventure of getting here earn this guy a favorite point. Thanks for placing this nice cache!

Wrong roads can still lead to great places! A fun day exploring. Signed the log and dropped a tb when RPieperco placed cache.

[FTF] First to Find at 10:58 A.M.
I missed grabbing this cache on August 11, 2017 when I was in the area for another cache I was looking for. I was pressed for time and was unable to take the necessary time to make way over to it. So I had to walk away knowing I would probably lose my chance at obtaining the first to find on this new cache. I ended up needing to come back to the area to find a couple caches I didn't have time for and this was first on my list to tackle today since it still hadn't been found. How did I get so lucky?
Rock blasting on the roads up to this cache delayed my start. Thankfully I was able to sneak around a lot of the "extreme delays" by taking Lee Hill Road. I lost service coming up the canyon and hadn't downloaded the satellite or topography maps so I was coming in somewhat unprepared. However I am here, or what I think to be, let's just get this done! So up I go. Through every deep brush and over all the downed timber to get over here.
Hooray! A somewhat blank log but the FTF had not been claimed as crumbcrunchers helped hide the cache. After grabbing the other caches I needed in the area I followed an old logging road down to the street and saw that I took the hardest possible route to get to this cache (that didn't surprise me as somehow I always choose the hardest route).
Found GC79Z0X - Wrong Road, Turn Around Point!, on August 15, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.
Thank you, RPieperCO for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy and giving back to the community. I look forward to finding more of your caches. I also look forward to potentially finding Geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our hobby or should I say addiction? Cheers!
