Really a mystery cache, but has features of traditional and multi caches .

The cache is not at the listed coordinates. The listed coordinates are just the beginning of your journey. You may want to solve the puzzle below prior to starting the journey as you will need the solution before the cache coordinates are revealed. The puzzle below is modeled after those often seen in the newspapers referred to by various words like; crypto, gram, cipher, cryptic, celebrity, quote, etc., where each letter represents another, and the author's name appears at the end. In this one, the famous poet author is not really the author.

"QCC VMSAA HASI EJP VI VMA GJEVAC T YIISCJTQVA QTC VMAT QCC AA QGEI. TIR EXLVSQYV OSIU VMA R 'YIISCJTQVA AJFMV AJFMV EAKAT QTC VMAT EXLVSQYV AA QGEI. TIR DIX MQKA VMA YQYMA YIISGJTQVAE" - MATSD RQCERISVM GITFOAGGIR

Puzzle Hint: The letters P, G, I, T, & F equal X, L, O, N, & G respectively. Puzzle Note: After you think you have successfully solved the puzzle, and you recognize the poet, and are certain his name is spelled correctly, you can be quite certain that your solution to the puzzle is correct. From the listed coordinates location, drive in an easterly direction. As you continue traveling for about a half mile, observe the residential subdivision signs, and jot down the subdivision names. You should find a couple. Now add up the total number of words in your list of names. Now multiply that number by 6. Now you need to refer to this larger number as "EE", and can enter it into the puzzle in place of the EE and calculate the cache coordinates. The cache is located on private property. The owners are "cache-friendly" folks and invite you to stroll within a 'stones-throw' of the 'alter'. Congrats to DArR for the FIRST TO FIND And, honorable mention to Indiandunes for a quick second!

Normally I would avoid any kind of neighborhood cache but this one was spread out and worth the stop. Nice to have cache friendly folks.

Actually solved this one shortly after it was published (thanks in part to Google maps!), but didn't have the chance to go look for it until today. Very nicely constructed puzzle and well deserving of a favorite point.
Final location was a surprise! Thanks for all of the efforts on this one. Cool

Lot of fun, gets a favorite. Nervous searching on private property when unsure if puzzle coords are correct, even with permission. But is it the correct private property??? Great relief after we found it. LoneWolf77 and myself back over on the western slope for another geocaching vacation. Always good caches in the Rifle area, one of our favorite spots. Thank you for placing this cache so we could enjoy the game. sl
