This caches is in Mitchell Canyon near the Founders Village subdivision of Castle Rock. It is a fun hike, but bring some water and sunblock.
This is a traditional cache hidden in a Nalgene bottle. The cache contains some small plastic animals and marbles to trade.

5826 originally had a flight back this weekend but we extended her flight so that she could stay for the week, really happy it turned out that way.

After getting off work, I wanted to take her to one of the nearby canyons that I've enjoyed while living here. She isn't the biggest fan of bugs but did enjoy walking along the canyon and seeing the little waterfall this time of year.

As for the cache, finding this one took me a little bit of time. The coordinates were jumping all around on me and we originally started by searching on the upper portion. After making our way down, I was a little confused by other comments saying that the cache was 30 feet up a hill, this is not the case. The cache is fairly near the trail for anyone that is struggling.

Everything is in good shape, glad to have found another one here.

I pecked this nice cache up while on my way to attend the GC7J49C Seventh Annual Columbine Open Space Clean-up BONUS south of Castle Rock. I have never been on this trail before, so I was happy to explore it today. I was surprised how quickly the trail transitioned from paved, neighborhood trail to steep-cliff canyon. I spent allot of time enjoying the view, so I was happy to make the find on this one without any drama. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find and giving me an excuse to explore this cool place, TFTC.
