Well- what can I say- we all go through periods in our life where we want to create our own identity (early adolescence, anyone?)

There is a chapter in my family story when we were unhappy being called “hogs” as some thought it was too degrading. So we started demanding our rights- one of which was to be called “Woodchuck”. My great great great great great great great grandfather says that it is from our Native American Algonquian name “wuchak”. However, since this sounds like “WoodChuck”, it led to MUCH teasing on the playground, as we do not do anything with wood or chucking. We’ve tried to grow from the experience and if anyone does insist on teasing us, we are taught to just laugh it off.
Let me tell you, if you ever meet a groundhog- please be polite and do not ask us the most insulting question you could ever ask…. “How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?”

As all you will get in response is the sound of us laughing and chuckling.

I dressed up for Halloween one year as a woodchuck (see my pic?)

Wish I would have had another container, this one was getting pretty brittle and leaking.

I stopped and found this one fairly quickly after a great solo climb up Mt. Silverheels. Thanks for the cache!

Seriously...how much wood does a woodchuck chuck if it could chuck wood!? And what the hell is a woodchuck anyway? And I thought a Sciuridae was a squirrel and your name is Gertrude groundhog. I am so confused! At any rate, I immediately zeroed in on your cache, so I figure I'm related to some kind of woodchuck. I got my teeth taking care of.

Last find of the day. The container is getting brittle and wet inside. We would have replaced but didn't have one with us.

Visiting a friend in the area and doing some local caches close to his house thanks for placing. TFTC. Very nice park hard to get use to high altitude.
