Peter was out hiking with son Doug and daughter in law Heidi. Our objective was Thayer Peak at 13,852'. Quite a hike. Eleven plus miles and 3100' of elevation gain. Not much time for caching so we found this one and another nearby. Roadway was very wet and covered with snow and ice two feet thick. It was a hike that required snowshoes to keep us from postholing. Drifts along the way, I'm guessing were typically 4' to 8' deep.

Cache was high and dry. Good placement for post winter weather.

Nickgatt, my two geohounds, and I drove down from Denver and attended the Amazing Race Event. Afterwards, we headed east to find a few more caches. TFTC SL.
