We visit this spot once in a while to have a picnic and thought we'd hide a couple caches in the area. Shouldn't be a hard find, you're looking for a typical ammo can. Enjoy

Quite a hike today with WingsAndTales. Only managed to acquire a few scrapes and bruises along the way. The caches up in the area are pretty lonely. Tftc!

Hi - I spent the day 'explor-imenting' by truck around the region south of Pike's, & up Old Stage Rd to get more familiar with trailheads; FS road numbers; Mtn peak names; etc. I took the gpsr (well- loaded with caches) & two different Pike Natn'l Forest maps too. Fall aspens were very nice where they still held leaves; traffic was quite low, and the weather got gradually better as the day wore on!

Started the day here thinking of Marine Green, and Green Mountain to the south... but hadn't read some descriptions enough . I just found the lonely dead end at Elk Ranch, & headed back. The cache here was about 50' south of gpsr point; & no log sheet so I signed & stamped a card that was in there. Lots of kid swag in the large Tupperware-type.
