I 'as in t'e mids O' flogsin' t'e crrrrew when t'e rrrockehmtn8iv calls'd me an' said we hads t' go!
Once back at t'e GZ we foun' t'is devyus litt'l hide an' t'e rrrockehmtn8iv CITOed t'e imposterrr.

Congratulations to giomarinekaleb for FTF!
Saw this one come up in my notifications and decided to see if I could make it out there for a FTF.
It just wasn't too be.
Upon arriving at GZ we, and by we I mean myself, Cap'n Ron , and the Boys. Walked right up to a very easy/peasy small geocache with a virgin log. Turns out it wasn't the right cache. The CO let me know so the Cap-n-I made the trip out there again this afternoon to get things straight.
This time we found and signed the proper cache and picked up the other so there would be no future confusion.
If whoever it belongs to sees this please contact me and I'll see what I can do to return it to you.
I grew up in the Yampa Valley and of course learned about the Meeker Massacre in school back when they actually taught history but, this is the first time actually exploring anything to do with it. I had no idea this monument/memorial was there until this cache and the nearby Virtual came up.
We had a very good time strolling around and reading up on the massacre.
A very nice hide.
