Welcome to our toughest cache yet!!! Maybe not.

Mission Impossible #3(Reduex) .... The 100 mile multi!!

This is the new and improved hide and location. It’s official... I have documented proof that we have our first 2 finishers of the Mission Impossible Series Challenge 1 - 5 Found in one Day.. Congratulations to 1. PAYMECACHE 2. HEH324 3. XXXXXX 4.XXXXX 5.XXXXXX.Still waiting for THREE MORE Winners!!

So we have decided to create a new series of caches. These will be gradually increasing in Difficulty and Terrain as you progress thru them. There will be a total of 5 caches... Stage 3 of this challenge is D3/T3. They will progress like this D1/T1, D2/T2, D3/T3, D4/T4 and finishing with D5/T5 Once all of the 5 caches are published, I will have a challenge for everyone.

This will be for the first 5 Cachers to complete this task. If you can get all 5 in 1 Day, message me with proof(photo of you the finding cacher at each location)that it was completed in 1 Day. This will stop any foul play. Once I have the proof I will send you a Geocaching related gift.

YOUR MISSION IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT... THIS MESSAGE WILL SELF DESTRUCT IN 5 SECONDS!!

Hope you all have your Traveling shoes on!! This is NOT a cache n dash multi. If you are not ready to go on a long adventure for just 1 Cache, then this cache may not be for you.

We came up with this cache on our Trip to Mingo!! We saw all these other 100 mile hides and thought. We should hide one too.

As in true the5millers fashion we needed to make it a difficult yet fun and memorable adventure.

Hope everyone has a great time and tell us you story or adventure.

Enjoy the Hunt and Happy Caching!!

What a day! 27 caches covering the following types - Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Earth, Virtual, Lab, Event, CITO, Wherigo, and Letterbox. New record for me. It was a very full day and it was a lot of fun but I'm relieved it's done too!

While of course Mingo was my primary target, and of course I was excited to get 10 icons in a day; this was a very strong secondary target. I'll explain why.

When this series first published I thought "Mission Impossible? Yep, that sounds about right. I'll pass." And even now, quite some time later, I still have only found three of the five MI caches. Forget about all of them in a day - I'll settle for all five in my lifetime! I'm also slowly working on finding all of the T5M caches in Colorado. I'm sure I'll get there someday. But I still have many miles to travel to accomplish that goal.

As is well documented, I tend to focus on the 3 mile radius around my house. I enjoy traveling, but I'll never go too far just for a FTF or one unique cache. But with this being on the way to Mingo, how could I not get it! And besides, the starting point for this cache is less than TWO miles from my house! So of course it's been bugging me for some time. Yes, there are a couple of unfound caches less than 3 miles from me. They are Traditionals and I'm saving them for when I need a quick find.

I had read the logs though and had seen that even well experienced cachers had struggled with this final. And I was searching solo!

After my dad pulled over along the road and I jumped out, I knew I was in for a "great time." This tree is massive, the terrain is steep, and the underbrush threatens to swallow you whole. I started my search and then slowly made my way around the tree. Thankfully I never had to circle it. But once I finally spotted the cache I decided on a "better angle" to approach it. Of course, when I repositioned myself I couldn't spot it. So I went back to where I did see it and contorted and stretched until I had it.

It was at this time the mosquitoes decided to increase my enjoyment of the experience. While I was trying to stamp the log and take a picture, I was simultaneously swatting mosquitoes. It's a miracle the stamp is somewhat clear and the picture isn't just a big blur.

I put it back where I found it for the next unfortunate cacher who decides to make this trek all the way out here for this one find. Good luck!

This gets a favorite point just because of how cruel and unusual it is.

Thanks for the hide the5millers

I did a health check on Waypoint 1, expecting to replace it for the CO. Turns out all is good here! Coords are good and it’s the hide you’re expecting.

I guess that I was looking for something that would have the coordinates for the next waypoint but couldn't find anything.

Today we assembled a team for this Mission Impossible. Our well trained caching assassin team consisted of WindatMyBack, HerndonRD, FeartheFish, and I. Windatmynack has a special talent of smelling caches from over a mile away. Because of his poor eyesight, Fearthefish’s other senses have become extraordinary. Herndonrd can see about 6 miles out from his height. I brought the ability to sleep anywhere.
First we ambushed #3. Between stages we saw a hawk in the air. It was carrying a large snake. Sad to me, but a joy to some. Long car rides are best spent hurling playful insults at each other. This was a fun ride. We grabbed a few others near the final. We circled around and through several times before Bob yelled out that his bloodhounding had yielded the prize around 11:15 am. 4 signatures later and we were on our way back to the car and headed home. While still in the middle of nowhere, Fearthefish was generous enough to offer his spicy meatstick to all. It was lovely. You really can't beat Duke’s Hot & Spicy Smoked Shorty Sausages.
This Mission Impossible series and the challenge of completing it in one day has been rewarding and deserves more favorite points than I can possibly give. I enjoyed the fun of the hunt and the comradery developed by the common goal of hunting our prey. Thank you The5Millers for getting this motley crew together to join forces in an all out assault on your 5 missions.
Mission Accomplished.
We finished the day with a group meal at Texas Roadhouse. Mmmmm. THANKS FOR THE CACHES!!

Team effort with WindAtMyBack, LostinDenver and FeartheFish to get all 5 MI in one day. I will leave the details to the others' logs. This one took most (but not all) of the driving. Give it a fav! TFTC!

FTF at 2:10 pm. What a fun adventure this was. Went to the first WP the day the cache published and found it after a brief search. We had been wanting to get more caches out in the plains so just planned a road trip and even brought our dog Fred. Cached our way out to the next waypoint. This was a bit of a walk but not bad and actually found it fairly quickly. Hmm, a bit more driving? Should we do it? Thought for about half a second and we were off. Not a bad drive at all. Finally we were there and starting our search. No muggles to worry about except some cows. Did not find it at first and had a mild case of panic - what if we drove all this way and don't find it? No worries, soon we were signing the log. Thanks so much for this cache - made for a very enjoyable day. Gets a favorite point.
