Edgewater Historical Tour Multi-Cache

Geocaching has been such an experience for me and my family.  This cache is meant to not only find the cache but learn a little bit about this cute little city with a lot of history, right next to Denver.  Enjoy your caching.

Edgewater Historical Tour Multi-Cache

Stage 1
This is a small pocket park for the City of Edgewater, approximately a quarter of an acre in size. This was the home of our Farmers Market before it was moved to 25th and Sheridan in 2016. The City also ran music in the park nights here and can also be a nice place for a picnic.  Please read the sign at the coordinates listed to find information on your next clue. 

Stage 2
This location was funded by the Edgewater Redevelopment Authority to welcome visitors to the City of Edgewater. 

Stage 3
Edgewater has a long history of a volunteer fire department dating back to 1915. By 2013, the number of calls that came in were too frequent to h andle for our lone fire chief so the Edgewater Fire Department then merged with Wheat Ridge Fire, which later became West Metro Fire.  Edgewater has strong ties to the Edgewater Fire Department. We hope to show case that in our new building set to be built in 2018 with historical Fire Department pieces we have collected and given to us throughout the years. Please read the plaqye located at the coordinates to get your next clue.

Stage 4
This location is believed to be one of the first homes in Edgewater. It is now run as a museum through the City of Edgewater in it's present condition. This address is also home to Edgewater's Community Gardens located to the rear of the property. Please read the sign located at the coordinates to find the next location. 

Stage 5
This location is the site for the majority of Edgewater's Festivals from the Community Picnic to our long loved Celtic Festival. Here you'll find a lot of events going on daily in the summer time. Horseshoe tournaments, softball games, and youth sports programs.

Unfortunately the sign for waypoint 4 has been removed. The container has also been destroyed a bit but the log is intact.

My daughter had a DI competition nearby. Came over on break and found the final just on shear dumb luck. Needs replaced badly!

Found the sign at WP1, but struck out at WP2. Between reading ahead, hints, and previous logs BearAdair and I were able to find and sign the final. Found first spot we tried too. Container has been smushed and needs replaced.

Very nice tour! I need to come to Edgewater more often. I also loved the park at the end. Very quiet and peaceful. TFTC!

This was a fun multi cache to do even if the second step was a bit confusing to figure out. And we also messed up for the final but were able to figure what we needed without much trouble. SL. Cache container really needs to be replaced as its crushed.

A fun multi-cache to do. We stumbled at couple of the stages but were able to figure out what we need to find. We found the crushed final container after reworking the math. I didn't trade anything but I signed the log.

I was back in Edgewater today to get some growlers of kombucha at Happy Leaf. Really tempted to take some of the harvest at stage four before the frosts. The container at the final is damaged but made it through the rains well enough to sign. Thanks for the tour. Celebrated at Hogs Head brewery.
