A 30 cal ammo can placed to commemorate a most interesting and unusual, we hope, event
Team Red Rubicon (TRR) and two interlopers, me in a Toyota Tundra and JPIT in a not red Rubicon, gathered for the day to pre run the moderate route for the upcoming Mountain Fiesta and 4x4 Caching Adventure. Things had been a little tame with the exception of a couple of short hauls over some not to awful rocks prior to the lunch break we took at a spot overlooking beautiful Mirror Lake. I guess all this "tameness" was just too much for one of the diehard TRR members so, following lunch, she decided to take an alternate route across the inlet stream to the lake. Now when the lake is low, this appears to be a good way to go. But the lake wasn't low. What proceeded to happen is documented in pictures and a few choice comments gathered at the time of the event.

Let's do something off the wall, shall we? That keychain I just got said "Girls Rule" didn't it?

Speed looks good with an impressive bow wave. Course heading appears right on target

Uh oh! Do I hear a band playing "Nearer My God To Thee"

Is that Rocketman getting an atomic wedgie?

This is the captain, "Blow All Ballast"

Let's get this thing back to dry dock for repairs!

Where did you say the drain plugs were?

Some people will do just about anything to avoid paying for a car wash!
