Some Cheese has been hidden somewhere.
NOTE: The park that this cache is in is CLOSED during certain times for hunting. In 2017, it is closed September 8-18 and October 13 - November 20. Do not attempt this cache during these closures.

There is no particular significance to the name of this cache. I just thought it would be amusing to see emails coming in that say so-and-so found some cheese! If you want, include the name of your favorite kind of cheese or an unusual type of cheese that you have tried and what you thought about it. The container is a camouflaged plastic peanut butter jar. It had quite a lot of peanut butter in it at one time. It originally had an assortment of the usual stuff in it including a nice TB for the first-to-finder and a couple of oakbucks. It also had 5 interesting blue and white whistles - the original owner is welcome to collect them. The sign by the trailhead says no bikes and no dogs. There is the potential for rattlesnakes but I didn't see any.

Nice cache. Was about to give up do to an incoming storm when I found the overgrown path. Dropped a steak themed TB (what’s a more iconic duo than steak and cheese) and took a whistle. TFTC!
My favorite type of cheese is cheddar, but as long as there is cheese, I’m happy.

Nicely done. Signed log.

Thanks cajrrman for giving me a reason to get outside. It’s always worth it when you are enjoying nature. There is nothing better than acting like a kid again, digging through weeds and climbing trees, all to sign my name on a piece of paper.

Found with Cachly for IOS.

In between herndonrd's two events today, I picked up some caches with color. No, this one doesn't have a color - but it is on the way. It was quiet at the open space today. Cache was in fine shape. Thanks for placing this here.

My son and I were down this way placing a hide of our own and we thought we'd give this one a try. I am a huge snake-o-phobe so this was taking me well out of my comfort zone. The weather was a little cooler today so I screwed up my courage and off we went.

Our approach was not ideal at first so we course-corrected and spent about 5 minutes in the GZ before almost giving up. We retreated a little bit when it caught our eye.

All is well here, cache, contents and log all in good shape. Thanks Chris! This is #478 for us.
