This cache is located along one of the many hiking/mountain bike trails in the area.
It is not located close to the road, so you will need to plan for about an hour or so hike to make the round trip. The trip can also be made fairly easily with a good mountain bike. The trail offers spectacular views of the Golden/Denver area through an ever changing landscape. The trail is usually clear year round but can be HOT in the summer months (make sure to bring water) and can have several icy spots in the winter.

Parking for the cache can be found at either N 39° 44.56, W 105° 14.08 or N 39 44.2’, W 105 14.72’, it just depends if you want to hike up first or down first.

The cache contains a variety of trade items for kids of all ages.

Had to check this old cache out. I wanted to place one nearby, about a month ago, but was too close to this one. Steep little climb from the trail.

Took advantage of the cool Spring weather to get out and explore this trail and find a few geocaches - cloudy and a bit damp in the morning, and clouds eventually burned off by the afternoon. It wasn't particularly busy today, mostly runners, with a few mountain bikers here and there. There was a group out doing trail work as well. Great way to get out and celebrate Earth Day and 3,000,000 million caches! Found 13 in all today, hiked 7.5 miles with the Geodoodle.

Managed to spot this one from the trail pretty quickly, but wouldn't have seen it if I wasn't looking for a cache - nice camo! A little challenging getting up to this one, but made it up (getting downhill was not so graceful for me). Had a couple people walk by while I was at the cache site, but I don't think they noticed me. Thanks for placing this one!
