Almost Heaven is one of my favorite camping areas, You get some great Vistas and and it is not too far from home. I've Elk Hunted this area for 15 years and I'm always amazed as to how many people never see any. There are fun off road areas.Also plenty of Colorful history here. If you read Bayou Salado you'll find some Colorful history from where Highway 24 meets 285 northward. Salt Creek just a little south is Colorado's only Salt Works.

This is a micro container in plain sight if you know what to look for.
