This cache is only a 3 because you'll need a truck, dirt bike, atv or 4x4 to get to it. This cache is a small; 35 mm can located inside the “cache” container. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find. If you come up in the summer, remember bug spray, a lunch, plenty of water and a camera. If you come up in the winter, bring a shovel :0)
On January 22, 2011 Tink and I started out for a short snowmobile ride up Little Box canyon and around to the Coulter Mesa turn-off and then back down the Coulter Mesa road to Little Box snowmobile parking lot. The weather was clear when we started, but quickly became over cast. We had missed the turn and rode up to the LK ranch, up past Hays Flats, re-fueled and then headed back. As we retuned up onto the mesa, a white out blizzard had set in and we lost all visibility. We had driven past the marker post and realized it too late. As we tried to turn back, the Polaski sled got buried and Tink’s got stuck when she stopped for Polaski. The cache is located near the location of where the sleds spent the night. The following day the Polaski sled was dug out and started. The Tink sled eventually started with the help of the Meeker Search and Rescue group.

Congratulations to happydogs67 for the FTF!

We did the whole loop and had forgotten what a nice drive it is. Thanks for placing so many caches in beautiful places. Thanks for the FTF. (I am sure it looked much different in the winter time)
