Popular area for walking and enjoying the shade. The stream is the Smith Ditch which begins in Waterton Canyon and empties into Smith Lake at Wash Park. The ditch project was begun in 1860, before Colorado was a territory of the U.S.. The sign to the east on the bridge gives a little more detail. 

Please be respectful of the neighbors, as we know you will. Coords are a bit jumpy in the area because of the trees, but, you should be able to figure out where you are. Enjoy the area, and have fun.

Caching our way to the "Welcome back! Event" We spent about 25 minutes searching and even expanded the search to no avail. Decided to call it and move on. No luck here today.

Looked around for quite a while and met some very nice folks on the path, but did not make the find. I'll hold my comments until I learn more.
