I got lost on the way to Bill Moore Lake and hid a cache 11,480 feet from sea level.
One of the things I like the most about geocaching is the unexpected. As I tried to make my way to Bill Moore Lake to hunt the two caches there, I turned off FSR 183.1 and drove on FSR 183.1C to the dead end. Nearby were a number of campsites and some fantastic views. So I decided to hide a cache here. It is a large mixed peanuts jar camoed but should not be hard to find. Terrain and difficulty ratings are only because a high clearance vehicle is strongly recommended. The terrain at the cache site is only 1.5 and you can park within a few feet from the cache. The hint is a dead give away.

Took the Tuesday off to go Jeeping. I have a friend in town that can't fly home to Houston due to Hurricane Harvey. I decided to take her mind off things for a while and show her a bit more of Colorado. This was our 2nd cache stop of the day. There really is a great view from here. After 2 years out here since the last find, I'm happy to report that all is well with this cache.

On the way back from the lake we left the group and took the road less traveled to grab this cache. It was a nice detour.

Found this while attending the Mountain Chillin 4x4 event with crumbcrunchers and appleiphone6. Gorgeous area for a cache that I would otherwise not have a chance of getting. TFTC for sure!

Coming back from Bill Moore Lake and was ready to bushwhack to the cache, then I read the description (glad I did). Great views, thanks for the side trip. TNLN
