District 33 was formed in 1899. It was formed by the division of Sunnyside District 13 which had a school 4 miles to the South. The Sunnyside district was one of the first distrits in the area. Formed in 1887 when the area was still Washington County. The first terms were for a period of 3 months and the teachers earned $33.30 per month
