Enjoy a great hike on a very scenic trail! You'll trek approximately 2.9 miles round trip. The cache is an ammo can.
I hope you enjoy this wonderful trail as much as Avengers did while placing the cache, and as I did on my first and subsequent trips in to the cache vicinity. It's a fine experience. The hike terrain is rated at 3.5 due to the elevation changes and the absence of switchbacks, resulting in some steep sections. The trail has some wonderful views and beautiful meadows and is well "worth the hike".

To access the trailhead, enter the Pinewood Springs subdivision using Gate 5. Proceed to N 40° 17.382', W 105° 20.578' and your hunt begins. The trail is not well marked but is easy to follow. Please be aware of Poison Ivy around the water (which you will have to cross) and snakes.

The original contents of the cache are: Log Book, Pen, Chalk, Geocaching Lanyard, Geocaching Patch, Keychain Light, Emergency Poncho, US Flag Magnet, Wolverine TB, Hulk TB and Disposable Camera.

Please take your picture with the disposable camera and then return it to the cache; when the camera is full we will post the pictures for future cachers to enjoy.

We hope you enjoy the cache - happy caching!

A nice, big ammo can was our reward on this blisteringly hot day. We found a camera inside and took the requisite pictures. What a pretty spot! This was the end of our caching hike for this day; we'll come back another time to get Barngineer's caches farther on. Thanks!

This was a walk that seemed much longer than it really was, just because it was so hot. Still, we persevered to this one. Funny to see one of the old disposable cameras that still seemed to be working--can you still buy these things?! I'm glad to get these Pinewood Springs caches changed into smileys; they've been taunting me for too long. TFTC!

Yes, this was worth continuing on from the previous caches on this trail. Really nice setting and good hiding spot. Caching with EstesLynne and Path Pacer. Camera still had room on the roll so we took some selfies. TFTC!

My primary objective for today was Above the Quarry and I went for that one first. After hiking to the top of X7509 I headed back down and eventually made my way to this cache. I took me a little while to locate it as I spent a fair bit of time digging through pine needles at my GZ. After 10 minutes of no luck, I expanded my search area and eventually came up with the container. It was about 25 feet NE of my GZ. Signed the log and took the Bhob TB that had been in the cache for over two years and I'll move it along. Thanks Denali41 for adopting this cache and keeping it going. It definitely was worth the walk!!!

It was a delightful day for a walk in the woods - this was the last stop on a park-once-find-seven excursion - just as promised, it was well worth it. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Started my hike at 11:30 to grab the 8 caches in the area with my pup. took 2 photos with the camera. I think their is 6 more shots tell the camera is full. At the end of the day I came away with 7 fines after 7.4 miles. Thanks for this great hide.

Been awhile since anyone has found this cache. Still in great shape. My son and I bushwacked to and from the previous cache to this one. Saw a rare Black Squirrel on the way. Also saw Bear scat! SL, TN, Left Bacardi Key Chain.

Because I will soon be adopting this cache and had never visited it, my puppy Teewinot and I made the marvelous hike in to the cache location early this morning so I could check on its condition and know its specifics. It's a very nice cache, and is consistent with the types of mountain caches that I own and maintain. I'm honored to have been asked by Avengers to take responsibility for the first cache that they had placed. The container and contents are in excellent condition. The adoption procedures for this and two other Avengers' caches will be completed later today or tomorrow. Thanks for having placed this great cache!
