Scenic view  Significant hike  Cliff / falling rocks  Medium hike (1km-10km)

Cache is hidding in the San Isabel Mountains area, just a few miles from San Isabel Lake. There is some hiking and climbing required, but nothing that someone in good health can't handle. Look for the three crosses atop the mountain, and the cache is hiding among the rocks below "Christ's Cross."

Cache is in pill bottle, so limited space for items, but we did leave what we could in there. Bring a writing stick! Congrats to mtnbirders for FTF!

Well, Robear23 and I hiked, climbed, bushwacked our way to the crosses and we're no spring chickens. We both looked for some time but never could come up with the smiley. Very disappointing. Think I'll take an ibuprofen and rest awhile now. Thanks for bringing us to this spot, though. It will be something to remember, but I doubt we will be back to try again.

Wow - this was quite the adventure today. First we tried to find an entry point at the main highway. No luck as all roads were private and closed. Next we tried the Snowslide trail and that got us close enough. Then went through some challenging terrain as others noted and found the crosses. What a fantastic site and view - worth the long trek! Unfortunately we could not find the cache. Moved a lot of items around but no luck. Maybe we just missed it but enjoyed the adventure all the same. Thanks!

I decided to grab this one before the storm hit. I never found the road so I parked across the road and bushwhacked my way to the top. SL TFTC #2063 The cache is in good shape.

The road was very slippery. We kept watching for the crosses to see where we were going. We never saw them untill we were really close. The hill climb was also slippery from the gravel. We made a quick find and we're off to get the next one. SL TFTC

Finally! I went up last week and couldn't figure out where to safelty park. This week I came with a driver to drop me off, and I bushwhacked my way to the cache. Found the crosses just fine, but the cache wasn't were the hint suggested. After an extended search, I did find it well below one of the "sinner's" just laying there. So after signing the log, I put it back where the hint said it would be.
Thanks for the FTF!
