Recommended for kids  Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Parking available  Bicycles  Park and Grab

We noticed there weren't many caches along US-36 between North Boulder and Lyons. So, we had to change that. Here is the first cache in the series. There is room to pull off here, so please use that and do not park in the shoulder. There are lots of cyclists along this road, so please be aware of them.

This should be a quick park and grab. Please let me know if this cache needs any maintaining, such as the log needing replacing, if the cache container is in bad condition, or if you can't find this cache. If you cannot find this cache, DO NOT leave a replacement. I prefer to maintain my caches myself. Hope you find it, and happy caching!

Biked up early from S. Boulder, first and last time I'll ride US 36 at rush hour. Third of 3 jacobboulder finds along the road. Looked all over, no luck, figured it was gone since geopam didn't find it. Rode up the highway to grab #2, then on the way back home, I decided to stop and look once more. Took a while for traffic to offer up a gap to cross over both lanes. As I approached GZ, I noticed a glint off something metallic about 15 feet away, about 1 foot inside the barbed wire. Sure enough there it was on the ground, next to a den. I'm guessing one of the prairie dogs grabbed it and was planning on making it into a tiny charcoal grille. Or a small pot to grow his pot plant. Had I been 1 or 2 feet north or south, I never would have spotted it as the reflection of the sun would not have aligned. Stuck it in one of the spots I had already looked at, will notify CO. SL.

This was a quick cache and dash with Nickgatt, T-Dawg, and my three geohounds. We spent most of our day finding caches north of Boulder before the bad winds moved in. TFTC SL.
