THis is My QSL Card. We send these out to confirm contacts made on the radio.
You must have a high clearance vehical to get to this cache. This cache was place Field Day weekend. Field Day is a yearly event
put on by Ham Radio opperators around the world. The object is to
go ut and set up your radios and make contact with as many other
Hams as possible. We had 4 radios set up at this location with 4
opperators. The equipment ran off batteries for the weekend. We
made contact with a little over 400 people in the US and Canada
using voice and CW. Our call for the weekend was AIØW / 4ACO.
The cache location overlooks the camp site we used for this
event. It is a wonderful out of the way place to spend the weekend.
Enjoy the area and the cache.
http://www.hello-radio.org/ is a good place to learn more about

07/02/2018 By Venture179 Out on my first off road adventure with Niknic and son. Surprised that I had a cell signal and there is a geocache on the hill we just left. So we backtracked and started looking. We were not sure what to expect since the cache had not been logged in 2 years. But Niknic found it. It is in perfect condition. We took the metal heart container and left a Port Aransas, Texas bottle opener/keychain. TFTC SL GREAT VIEW !!!
07/01/2018 By Niknic On the trail with the family. Not the easiest to find, but exciting when we finally did.
10/28/2016 By TheOldYoungs (TOYs) OldYoung #1 and I were jeeping with friends along this trail and realized this cache was close by. We made the uphill treck and I made the find. Cache is in good shape. Always nice finding older caches! SL, thanks for the hide.
10/17/2016 By Back Country Horsemen I went for a ride on my horse, Cash, starting at the Barbour Fork TH where there was plenty of room to park my rig. I wasn't sure if I was going to get all the way here. I found the road that said Dead End & I was worried I was going to get stuck there but where that road ended a dirt bike trail continued on and I was able to connect up with this set of roads to get to this cache. All together I road 17 miles out & back. It was a great day.
07/05/2015 By Takes the Hard Way Had another fun day jeeping and caching with Team Red Rubicon! Made the climb up the hill...in the rain...with Team Laxson to grab this cache. I did have an umbrella...but I was still soaked by the time I got back to the Jeep. SL TN LN
07/05/2015 By Team Laxson Wet, soggy walk over to this one. Out caching and Jeeping with Team Red Rubicon today. There used to be a 'road' that led right up to this one, but it looks like it's been closed for quite a while now. Still a short walk in. When we parked nearby we noticed a box with a target on a stump nearby - it looked weird. Apparently we got in the way of a nearby shooter - who was shooting over two roads to hit the target. He came up and took the box and drove off without incident though. Just an FYI - it's not legal to shoot over the road - no matter what road it is.
Found the cache in a heavy downpour. Takes The Hard Way had an umbrella, but we didn't :-) Kids didn't seem to mind - made it more of an adventure for them. We left a Smurf TB.
