This is a large cache , hidden with families in mind, full of goodies for littles to find. Bring some goodies to replace what you find. This is on a newly built portion of city trail along Riverdale Road, a beautiful place to walk and enjoy the beauty across the street. The large tree this is hidden near is one of our favorites and reminded me of the Ents of Middle Earth.

Ents were originally created to protect the forest from the dwarves and their desire to fell trees. The Ents became "shepherds" of the trees, protecting certain forests from Orcs and other perils. The were originally unable to speak, but the Elves taught them how to do so. By the Third Age, the Ent-wives (female Ents) had moved away to a different area in order to plant and grow things. That area was destroyed by Sauron, and thus the Ent-Wives were lost. The remaining ents searched for them fruitlessly, leading to the creation of songs that lamented their loss. The Ents played an integral part in the battle against Sarumon, overtaking Isengard and Orthanc, capturing Sarumon and destroying his ability to continue to build an army and aid Sauron.

IMPORTANT CACHE INFO: The best place to park is 116th Circle. Do NOT park on Riverdale road, there is no parking there. The cache is about 10 feet from a running canal, so please be mindful, especially of pets and kids. You do not need to get terribly close to the canal to find the cache.

The Fez Bandits found this one at an elevation of 5,115 feet above sea level on a sunny, 76°F morning. My daughters had fun looking through all the cache treasures. Didn't see any snakes or Ent Wives today, just some mosquitos. TFTC!
