Up a 4x4 road and a short hike, you'll find a secluded old logging cabin just off the trail. You'll feel like you've hiked deep in the mountains and are away from everything.

Years ago our grandparents Wallace and Mary Kuehl stumbled upon an old logging cabin. Over the years they fixed it up, along with other visitors to the site, and has since been a special place for the family to gather. We've placed this geocache in honor of our grandparents to forever make this a special place.

Don't forget the hot dogs and smores, there's a fire pit to enjoy a nice lunch after a relaxing hike.

Garlic and I are staying for a couple of nights in Breckenridge. So we finally made it out to this one. I think KeepOnTrekking suggested it to us 2 years ago! We no longer have the Prius - so we actually got our car to the Colorado Trail parking lot. The Prius just didn't have enough clearance. Had a great loop hike - about 5 miles. Thanks! Picked up the travel bug. Loved the cabin. Took pictures and will tell our host to visit next time he goes hiking. We hiked up the Colorado Trail, bushwacked over to this cache and then Amelia's cache and then down on the road.

We hiked to this cache with our grandparents, Keep On Trekking. They wanted us to see the cabin. Really cool place. Younger brother found the cache and he said he'd like to stay in the cabin. I said I would stay in a tent. The travel bug is still in the cache. SL TFTC

Today we hiked up to Amelia's Cache and on the way back stopped to check on The Old Goat and Cyclone Mary. This is such a cool place. More cachers should visit it. Cache is in great condition and still well-hidden. We traded trackables and replaced container.

Thank you for sharing this special place. I enjoyed the walk and the wonderful quiet when I arrived. Read the cabin's log and it was nice to see how much others also appreciate it and treat it with respect. This cache gets a favorite for sure. What a treat!
