This geocache is located within Chatfield State Park
(Fee or State Park's Pass required; hours of operation are from 5am - 10pm; both may vary)

The best place to begin your journey is at the Launch Site & Parking waypoint. You may be able to walk to it when the lake is frozen, but the expansion may encase it in ice. We will see, and adjust accordingly so it can be found anytime. I tried to keep the D/T rating true so the final is very small and camoflauged. You may be able to retrieve it from your kayak/paddleboard, but it may be easier to get out on the island first. Up to you how you want to tackle this challenge.

I named it "Hop To It!" because we caught this toad at ground zero while hiding it.

Out with COpackrat (kayak supplier) and Kerewin0430 (cache finder) on a hot weather day. I did paddle over to see and touch the cache but they did the hard parts. There were so many people on the water and getting a parking spot anywhere close was a challenge. Thanks for a reason to get out for some fun. TFTC

Out with Kerewin0430 and WingsAndTales today to play in the water. The paddle was not long so we only took one kayak and took turns on the trip across the pond. Thanks for the fun!

So much fun taking turns in COpackrat's kayak to paddle out to this this! After looking around for a little while, I glanced back towards where I had tied the boat...wouldn't you know, I had literally tied my knot directly on top of the cache, just hadn't seen it from that initial angle. Lol! Thanks for placing this one! Completes my 15x Fizzy! FP!

We escaped for some "forced family fun" today, and I couldn't resist not grabbing this cache since we had our kayak with. It took me a minute to spot once at gz, and even longer to get open, but it was definitely worth it. The log is pretty damp right now. Thanks for placing this cache and hopefully this continues to be accessible even with the rising water levels.

Had fun paddling with Anna and helping test this one. Logging now that it has been found. Look forward to more.

Thanks for the hide, BearAdair! Sissadies logged "Hop To It!" from a twenty-third galaxy using c:geo!
