This is a fun little field puzzle with some local history thrown in.  The coordinates are at the point where the puzzle starts and are not the final location of the cache.  There is an off street parking lot right next to the cache.

Start at the rock labeled DENVER The Mile High City. Proceed past the Platte River and Waneka Stage Stop in Lafayette. Continue past the St Vrain and Cache La Poudre Rivers along 287 to Owl Canyon. From there it's a short hop to the old Virginia Dale stage stop and your destination in LARAMIE. If you made this trip, of 146 miles, today on 287 it might take you an afternoon of driving where in the days of the stage coach it would have taken 2 days via the Virginia Dale and Rock Creek stops.

You should be able to find the cache at this point.

This was probably the fastest field puzzle I've done. Cute idea. Cache was in great shape, just SL. TFTC!

Fun little walk to get this one. At first I didn’t see the cache container and went and got a stick from a nearby bush to dig around. I was finally able to extract this one. Good thing I have skinny arms

I had been to this park for another cache but hadn't noticed this intersteing path. I have traveled the actual route too. Fun stuff. Thanks

FTF @ 12:05. We decided to give this one another try, this time Mr. SDC was successful!!! But it was not an easy grab to say the least. He messed up his hat and scratched up his arms. Even after showing me exactly where it was I still could not see it. In order for me to turn my head enough to spot it I probably would have damaged my glasses or scraped up my face. Plus he didn't even push it back as far as he found it. This is probably a feel only cache for most people, and a more difficult one then the 2 given rating. We did enjoy the field puzzle and history lesson. SL, TNLN,TFTC

Thank you Alpenist for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Still there.

First of all let me start with the fact that you changed the difficulty and terrain ratings again!!! I decided to come out and look for this container again to no avail. I was armed with a flashlight and grabber and the only thing I found was trash and leaves. I will attempt to upload a picture of the final destination to confirm I was in the right spot. There is no way you can miss this container if in fact it is a small and not a micro or Nano? Starting to get frustrated with this cache.
Final destination

Just checked on it today and it is in good condition.

I am so glad this is been enabled but is the container there?

We did find the final destination on your cool field puzzle but we could not find the container. Especially since you changed this from a 1.5 difficulty 1.5 terrain to a 1 difficulty and 1 terrain. It appears that there's only one spot where the container could be, we even used a flashlight but could not find anything. Could this already be MIA? If we eventually locate the container it will get a fav.

this is more like a puzzle cache not a traditional cache i was not able to find it the clues were confusing

This does not sound like a traditional cache sounds more like a multi or puzzle cache and should be labeled as such. Give credit where credit is due!!.
