Mourning Doves are light grey and brown and generally muted in color. Males and females are similar in appearance. In flight, white band is present on the tip of their tails. The species is generally monogamous, with two squabs (young) per brood. Both parents incubate and care for the young. Mourning Doves eat almost exclusively seeds, but the young are fed crop milk by their parents. This species' call is a distinctive, plaintive cooOOoo-woo-woo-woooo, uttered by males to attract a mate. The Mourning Dove is considered to be the most closely related species to the Passenger Pigeon (Ectopistes migratorius), which was hunted to extinction in the early 1900s.

Lotsa trash here, I guess it flies out as folks go around the corner. Everything is in good shape with the cache. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3546.

I decided to start the Memorial Day weekend with a little caching run. Headed out this way to cross some degrees off the list for the Colorado 360 challenge. I'm down to about 100 now and I'm itching to whittle that down even further. Beautiful day to be outside, started in the low 70's and ended in the mid 60's. Little bit of muggle traffic here and there, but nothing too bad. Thanks to all the COs for putting these out for us to enjoy.
