This cache is on public land near Love Lake. Love Lake is 2WD accessible until snowed in. Expect a short hike of 10 minutes or less over pretty easy terrain.
The container is a 3" PVC pipe about 12" long painted dark green. The cache contains a log and several small items.

It is a beautiful drive to Love Lake--take Middle Creek Rd off 149 just outside of Creede. Expect wildlife along the journey. Take fishing tackle for rainbows and maybe even a picnic lunch. Restrooms, picnic tables, and grills available on site. There is at least one more cache up the Copper Creek road.

An easy find and a hike, a pretty area! We found the cache, signed the log, took a "George", and left some toys, then re-hid the cache. Thanks!

Once again, geocaching gave us a wonderful experience, this time at Love Lake. Saw a new flower species, star gentians, and then were delighted to watch an osprey fishing in the lake while we had lunch. On the second try he/she got a big one, heavy enough that it was touch and go to get back airborne. Pretty special and many thanks to the Miller Family.
