Stopped to look for this one on my way up Route 9, but unfortunately after lots of back and forth following the GPS in circles, I had to move on. One of only a few DNFs today. Oh well.

Good hide. Quickie! Tftc!

Perhaps that D1 rating is misleading; the coordinates are good but there is certainly no obvious hiding place to catch one's eye, although there is a somewhat gruesome marker near GZ. In any case I found the container and signed the log; this was my 30th 10,000-foot-plus find of my trip. Nice job and TFTC!

A little scary.

Found it on our way home after a wonderful week in the mountains with Ridd9454 I’m just taking out his trash because it doesn’t affect the log container. But the larger container was totally smashed and trashed. Tftc

Impromptu return visit to Fairplay area after driving through yesterday. A few caches helped make it more worthwhile, but glad I made the trip again. More forest fire smoke than I saw yesterday. TFTC SL

Grabbed this one on our way back to Breck from Pike’s peak on an exciting day hitting my #4000 milestone at Tarryall. Took a break from driving to make a quick find. A bit messy here but log is in decent shape . TFTC signed the log . Visiting from Nashville

I stopped here for a quick one. Parked behind a car at the pull out. Didn't realize until I was out of the car and walking that someone was in the car ahead of me. Oh well, the cache was far enough away, I doubt the person could see what I was up to. The cache is in good shape - thanks for the find! Smiley #1797.
Ah, another day in the fresh air of the mountains. Started off as a cloudy, almost drizzly day in Denver. Lucky for me I broke through the clouds and into the sun. It was much cooler today than just last weekend, and a heck of a lot more cars on the road. Must be the leaf lookers as the aspens were gorgeous – bright yellow leaves against the dark green evergreens. I made it all the way to Alma – I have lots of friends in Alma, Arkansas, so I felt like if I was going to Fairplay… I could go a few more miles to Alma. Concentrated mostly on CSP caches and regular size containers, threw in a few others just for the heck of it. Made a few finds above 10,000 feet and probably shaded a few more bars in for the Colorado 360 degree challenge. Another beautiful day out and about, love where caching takes me!

In the area with fearthefish collecting up a few stray degrees I need to complete the Colorado 360 Challenge. There are 2 reasons this became a double digit find day for me: 1. We drove for 2 hours to get here and we weren't about to find 3 caches and turn around and go home! 2. When one travels with fearthefish it is as sure as death and taxes that you will be stopping many many times to grab caches in the area that satisfy fizzy challenges and jasmer challenges and word challenges from 10 years ago etc, etc, etc.! And while that might sound like complaining, it is anything but and we wouldn't have fearthefish acting any other way!! TFTC
