You can park with in a half mile, but approach from the North. The last few hundred meters are a steep climb. Take water and do not attempt at mid-day in summer. Great view of Grand Junction,the Bookcliffs, and the North Desert.

Wow! What a view! I think the difficulty in mid February should be at least a five because of the mud factor! For someone who's afraid of heights I did a good job! I changed out the container.

If someone is going to this one I would recommend taking along a replacement container. Its a small/medium tupperware type container that is broken and brittle. Presently its in tact and is a good hide.

out with fishlogger but he found it a while back. Steep but not a long hike. A perfect day for this one dry & cool. Would avoid otherwise. The container has holes in it and very brittle. Unfortunately didn't have replacement, tftc.
