This tricky historic micro cache will drive you nuts!

Located at the mining exhibit for the Gold Coin mine, the mine Victor was built literally around, this is a micro with logbook only. Watch where you step as a fox lives in and around the machinery and has many den entrances (holes). Stay outside the fence, the interpretive signs will tell you what job each large piece did and how. Across the street to the north is one of Victor's finest buildings, used by the Gold Coin as a recreational building/company store/offices for the miners. Areas that are off limits are clearly marked, please respect private property.

Victor is still a thriving little town, still supported by the large Cresson gold mine and the surrounding business. Be sure to check out 3rd and 4th streets before you go.

This was the center of recreation, paychecks, barbacks and shady ladies for the workers at the Gold Coin Mine across the street. In order to draw their pay, they would have to pass through the entire building all the way to the back, therefore passing a bar, restaurant, bathhouse, and shady ladies on the way out. Often they left with empty pockets! Jack Dempsey once fought here as well.

This was a quick find, having seen hides like this before. Getting to GZ was trickier. A map doesn’t always tell you which streets go though in mountainous terrain like this. The log is full, so I signed it where I could.

This was an interesting stop. Thank you for placing a cache here.

Out with house guests today to enjoy the fall colors and to gather a few caches along the way. A very educational stop. It's amazing what was accomplished back then with the technology that was available. Nice hide. SL. TFTC

I stopped at this one after going to Bishops Castle. My mom flew in from Florida and we are out and about taking in sites around the state. The best part was hearing her say we had not done a Geocache yet and that we should stop and do one. Well, of course! We had had a great trip and loved taking in the sites! Thanks for having this cache out here for us to find. My mom loves stopping out here in Victor to a antiques shoppe. This is our third year coming through this town. While my mom was shopping I ran around the corner to find this cache.

Tricky bugger! Saw several foxes around town, but none of them approached me. This is a remarkable location. Thanks for the cache. Visiting from Ohio
