~ Welcome to Mountain Shadows Park ~

This is a nice little park that needed a cache we thought, so we hid a bison tube in a tree.
Please bring your own writing implement along as there isn't room for one in the cache.
Please don't park on Flying W Ranch Road. Drive further North up to Champagne Drive
and try parking along the side of the road near N38 54.560 W104 52.410

Happy caching! Cheers! Mal & Jodi

Congratulations to WolfgangStiller and Sportslane for their co-FTF

Bummer, more humble pie for me. I used the hint and called a previous finder, but I could not spot this little devil.

I am not a big fan of micros, especially not micros in trees. This was the biggest exception to that policy, by far. I came to the park to see the Bill and Barbara Everett memorial sign at the northwest corner of the park and trail, and also to see the "Heart" sculpture that marks where the firefighters stood their ground and stopped the Waldo Canyon Wildfire. I cannot imagine how an evergreen tree of this size survived what must have been an incredible amount of flying embers coming down from the hillside, so this was an AWESOME spot for a cache. And considering how many possible hiding spots there were, I was very appreciative of the hint. TFTC at this most memorable location -- the favorite point is well deserved, and I believe is the only one we have given to a bison tube in a tree.

Came down to the Springs from Buena Vista to have a tire replaced on the Jeep. Lots more caches here then in BV so took the opportunity to grab a few. Needs new log. I replaced so many wet logs I ran out of extras. TFTC
