This is definitely a lonely cache! I did not have high hopes to find this one with a dnf, no size indicated & really no hint. I climbed my way down, down, down to GZ (I am not looking forward to the up up up!) & started my search, in the rocks, around the trees, but no luck. I had brought a replacement just in case hoping to get an OK from the CO. I returned to GZ to start my round again & something on the ground caught my eye. A camoed container! It was obviously misplaced so I signed the perfectly dry log where the last signatures were 2011! & returned it to where it probably came from. Hope it stays there now over the next 7 years.

Hmmm, what would a day of geocaching be without a DNF? Actually, it would be a great day! Our geo-mojo just didn't work for us on this one, despite 30+ minutes of effort. We kept saying, "D2.5: It can't be that hard!" No matter, any day in the woods geocaching is a success. We'll watchlist this one for a while and see what happens. Thanks for giving us reason to tarry along the trail- beautiful views!

First Cache! Not an easy find but set me up for success in the future. A great new friend took me and my best friend out. Thank you!

Working on RRR caches and working up to #700. Introduced a couple of new friends to caching. This was a tough introduction to caching but we prevaled in the end.

Dianne, Sport, Dillon, Petrie, Harry and I were hiking the Waldo loop and then did a side trip to to hike this ridge to the west that goes up to Rampart Range Road (we have never done this ridge before but really enjoyed the views on the ridge). This is Harry and Petrie's favorite kind of hike with high views on both sides. Had a view of the North Pole (rather this wasn't there...) The container is leaking just a bit and the log was a bit damp. It was sunny so we managed to dry it out completely and reseal it in its baggy. TFTC!
