Hello Everyone! This is the first of hopefully several caches placed by our family which celebrates the many ways to recreate in and around Colorado's waterways. The mapping function shows the cache to be in the water off the West shoreline of Horsetooth Reservoir, however it is in fact palced on a small island.

This cache is a military munitions container with Surf Colorado stickers blazoned across it.

The SWAC crew made plans a few weeks ago to spend the day on the water. So we planned to grab this cache because it sounded like a fun challenge.

Before we came to the water today, I noticed in the logs that the coords are off, so I contacted the first finder to get the coords they had. Which really helped.

The water was so high today that there was no land bridge to the island. So the rest of the SWAC crew pulled the motor boat near the island and then I used the raft and paddled my way to shore.

I sure wish I was wearing better footwear and a shirt, this island is filled with sharp and pokey plants.

Saw a lot of fish heads and a few eggs while I avoided cactus on my way to the GZ.

When I got to the GZ I made the fun and quick find. Everything is in good shape with the cache. TNLN.

Met the gang to grab this one while water wings weren't necessary. Fun hike and very grateful PM had gotten more accurate coords to the container. Thanks for the fun!!

Ran over lunch to meet up with Pixel Magic and Honeybuzzed to grab this cache with new GOOD Coords to GZ and before snow or water returned to make it even harder.
