This geocache takes you to the new Sumac Hill Overlook - a beautiful little resting place along the Highline Canal Trail. From the South Suburban website: South Suburban celebrates the official opening of Sumac Hill Farm Overlook along with partners Trust for Public Land, City of Centennial, Arapahoe County Open Spaces, and the Smedley family. The Sumac Hill Farm Overlook is the newest amenity along a stretch of the High Line Canal Trail, just north of South Suburban Goodson-Recreation-Center. The 600-square-foot platform features benches and interpretive signage. The new overlook provides an opportunity for trail users to rest and relax, while taking in scenic views of the Smedley family horse farm below and Mount Evans area to the west. Through the collaborative efforts of South Suburban and its partners,10 acres of land was secured as a conservation easement, meaning the land will be forever preserved, offering residents and visitors who jog, bike, and walk along the trail an opportunity to view wildlife and reconnect with nature.

This geocache should be accessible to persons with wheelchairs, perhaps with a little reaching. I had to make it a micro; the original got Muggled fast. Please hide where found. If you see any litter, please CITO (Cache In Trash Out)! Happy hunting!

What fun! I am here visiting from Illinois, and delighted to have some geocaching time with my amazing nephew, the Guatemalan Bonecrusher. What a beautiful spot for a cache — thanks so much for bringing us here!
