This cache is hidden on Kingston's Peak trail. The trail is not too difficult, however, a vehicle with ground clearance is required. Subaru's won't make it. Winter months might make this cache unattainable (depends on the snow level). The trail rating is a 4. For a desription of trail ratings. For a listing of trail descriptions.
This cache is hidden on a peak that has a view of about 14 different peaks . The names of some of the peaks in view are: 1. Montana Mtn. 2. Arizons Mtn. 3. Mt. Pisgah 4. White Mtn. 5. Fox Mtn. 6. Cone Mtn. 7. Colorado Mines Peak 8. Mt. Flora 9. Breckenridge Peak 10. Witter Peak 11. Mt. Eva 12. Mt. Bancroft 13. James Peak 14. Kingston Peak 15. Haystack Mtn. I am hoping to generate some enthusiasm with 4x4ers in this sport. Also get some geocachers into 4x4ing. Contents of the cache are as follows: 1. Game boy cartridge (150 games in one) 2. Gold oak leaf 3. Hands free kit for cell phones with standard jack. 4. Microphone 5. Swim goggles 6. Mouse trap 7. Golf tees 8. Binder clip 9. Plastic rules 10. Tie strap 11. Solex sunglasses 12. Oakley sunglass sleeve 13. Tabasco bottle (mini size) 14. Command and Conquer action figure. Make sure you bring a camera along. This is one opportunity you don't want to miss. After the cache, if you travel further down the trail to Kingston's Peak, take a rock with you. There is a monument at the peak. People over the years have piled up rocks that they bring with them. You have to see it to believe it. Each person has a different reason for piling on another rock. What’s yours? You don't have to have one to do it. In the later summer months, the trail continues towards central city.

There were a couple of snow drifts to negotiate through to get to a good parking spot.

I looked around for a while and could not come up with it, I had signal on my phone so I pulled up the cache page.

After that I found it in no time.

The log book was soaked most the way through, so knew I would be back by, so I left it, container and contents dry in the sun with slight breeze.

Thank for a fun cache to hunt up!

I am back after grabbing a FTF up on top.

Anyway, I made this my lunch spot to let it dry out some more.

While fanning the pages of log book real cash fell out, ( one and ten dollar bills ) allitte moldy but I grabbed them anyway.

Triple checked the log book for more and put everything back nice and dry.

Turned the container upside down because of the hole in the lid, it might stay dry for a while?

On a snow shoe to Lomie Point the Colorado Single Malt Duo found this cache. Sadly the bag had a hole and the log book was once wet and is now frozen so no entry was made. Left a picture and put the log in a new plastic bag.

Left some tissue (unused) and glycerin sealer for jeep weather stripping. It stops the leaks. Took a dollar.

2nd cache of the day while out jeeping the Kingston trail. Busy busy trail on the Labor Day weekend. This site is spectacular!!! The views are amazing and it is a great place for lunch. We were all stumbling around looking for the cache and Kiplynn found it again. She was on it yesterday! After finding the cache we stayed for lunch and visited with other travelers on the trail who also stopped for a bit.
great lunch spot at the cache

Wow. So pretty. Came up here to put my new used truck through the paces. It performed wonderfully. But that was not the highlight... this view is the highlight. I just wish the wind would die down so my pictures would not be blurry.
Took nothing. Left chapstick (you need it up here.. signed log. TFTC
