Another great place for a gnome to call home!

Some gnomes like to live high up on rocky ridges, others enjoy the sides of cliffs.  Sometimes, a gnome enjoys the quiet life that can only be found in the forest.  Their home can be found under rocks, in natural depressions in the ground, or in hollowed out logs.

This gnome enjoyed his hike out to the Log Cabin cache (GC1B7) so much that he decided to stick around and make his home in the forest.  Unfortunately his GPSr coordinates were a bit jumpy near his house, so this will be more challenging than originally thought.

Enjoy the hunt, enjoy the scenery, and be sure to visit Log Cabin, one of the oldest active caches in Colorado!

I feel great! Wonderful hike and beautiful area. Found this after finding Log Cabin. And, it is a cute little gnome living there. All is good and not wet. Giving it a favorite!

Parking was a little confusing. Dirt road is private. I parked on the big shoulder of the highway or you could park at the visitors center nearby. Easy to find this one, TFTC!

We had thought that we would hike to Ouzel falls today, but about 10,000 other people had the same idea. Luckily I had loaded this one and a few others into my GPSr so we decided to hunt for these instead. A few cars and 2 horse trailers at the trail head, but not many people in sight. This was a nice set of trails to some fun caches! The gnome force was so strong with this one that we walked right to it. After all, where else would a gnome choose to call home? Beautiful area, quiet and a nice day for a walk. The cache and contents are in great condition! Took nothing, left yen, signed log. Thank you beartooth72 for placing this cache so that we can play!
