This is somewhere near the cache...

Very cool location.....Beautiful view of estes, the stanley hotel, downtown, and lake estes. (if you continue up the path a bit) (to the south)
Very Cool spot to hang out.
Watch your kids as there is a cliff near there.
Further up the path there is a cool stone structure with views
of estes park and the national park mtn peaks to the west.
view to east is lake estes. do not throw or kick rocks as there is people below.

Our family is in Colorado on vacation. We had stayed overnight in Estes Park, and today we had planned to enter RMNP for the day. However, the major winter storm from Sunday continued to have roads closed for where we had planned to go. So we spent the day around Estes Park.

We were happy to find this delightful small nature preserve in Estes Park. It had great views in all directions.

This one kept me busy for a while... there were so many great hiding places at GZ! Up... down... all directions! Snow covering parts of the areas were also a challenge. I probably climbed that overlook 3 times while on the hunt. At one point there was a rabbit not far away who just sat there looking at me during the search. I could almost hear him say, "Found it yet?"

I finally found it. Great place! The container was almost empty, but log was good and everything dry. I SL and replaced as found. Thanks for this cache with the scenic views... and the exercise!

This is a great cache. Looking at the stats - it is is older than the two kiddos we brought to find it!,, and has logged nearly 3000 finds. That's tremendous. We loved the trail to the cache - saw lots of different scat and tracks - on this beautiful crisp fall day. Our final find of the 10 smileys we collected today was capped off by seeing a gorgeous herd of elk around the bend. White Pedro traded out some little toys and we added a little more swag. No trackables. SL - TFTC - and for bringing us to this spot we didn't know existed.
