Cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. You DO NOT have to enter
Peterson AFB or any other restricted area to retrieve this cache.
You have two options to find the final coordinates for this
cache.
1. Visit each of the caches in my
dmbfan73 chirp list possibilities bookmark list with your
Garmin Chirp compatible device and chirp searching enabled. When
you're at the correct cache location (and within 30ft of the chirp)
your GPS will download the final coordinates to your unit.
2. For those without a Garmin device and without the ability to
detect chirps, visit each of my caches looking for the Chirp
password. Once you have the password, visit
http://*password*.blogspot.com/ where you replace the text
*password* with the password you find in the correct cache.
Final is a decon kit.
Note about using Chirps: I knew the location of the chirp, and it
still took about 1-2 min for my device to pick it up. I found that
turning the chirp searching off and then back on again sometimes
helped with the chirp acquisition. Also, if you come across the
password while you're out caching, the chirp and password are very
closely located... so you can either visit the website or turn on
chirp searching at that point and download the final coordinates
immediately.
I recommend holding your GPS unit flat and waist high while
searching. Also, I think it helps to have it plugged into to
external power to boost your GPS signal strength.
Congrats to OF-Erad for FTF using the chrip!
