Parking: Recommend that you park right off Link Road (on either side) near GC82WRE “A tree grows in the Country Side”. The east side of Link Road, there is a sign saying it is private property don’t trespass. The first half mile of that road is public easement. All caches hidden along the road are on public property. You will know when you get to the Private property because there is a big green gate. While you can drive all the way down (the only turnaround spot is right before you get to the gate), I recommend you park by Link road and walk this. There are some residential houses that butt up against the road and cars attract curiosity attraction. Walkers do not as there are enough of us that walk back there. On the west side of Link road, while there is a road that connects to Link, it is in some rough shape and there is only 1 good turn around spot.
Clothing: Recommend shoes and long pants as during the spring and summer it can get quite overgrown. The road is fine, but the cache locations are off the road hence the terrain rankings.
A lot of caches in Fountain are disappearing due to construction. I wanted to put some out there to attract folks to Fountain and put them in locations that I know aren’t going to fall to a bulldozer. I hope you enjoy your trip. I will be adding more down the road in this area, so keep checking back.
If you are using your phone app, please note you are at the end of town, so GPS on the phone may be spotty. If you have a GPS unit I recommend you bring it along.
